"This was our fifth visit to Isla and one we looked forward to through the rough days of the wintry assault up North. Much remained unchanged here, however. The fare was still inexpensive ($4 fajitas) and tasty at Alexia & Giovanny street-front cafe on Carlos Lazo, just a short walk from our hotel on Punta Norte."

What insensitive, brainless ding dong is running the Tribune’s travel wire? (Wait, is “editor” even still a job at the Tribune Company?)
This purported dispatch from Isla Mujeres manages to be utterly tone deaf, light on facts and full of cliches: call it the Tribune trifecta. Gosh, if only these Mexican people could just decide to tidy up the drug war and get Isla Mujeres back to the way it was so I can get my cheap fajitas!
